Why does my Suzuki Mehran make a grinding noise when starting — is it a problem with the starter motor?

When I try to start my Mehran, it makes a grinding noise before the engine starts. Could this be caused by a faulty starter motor o r something else? Is it safe to drive like this, o r should I get it fixed immediately?

Yes, a grinding noise when starting your Mehran could be a sign of a faulty starter motor. This often happens when the starter motor gear Bendix gear isn’t engaging properly with the engine flywheel, o r it could be caused by worn-out starter motor components. If left unchecked, this can lead to damage to the flywheel and the starter. It’s best to get this issue fixed immediately to avoid further damage to the engine components.
