Why does my Suzuki Swift’s battery die overnight even after replacement?

I recently installed a new battery in my 2014 Suzuki Swift, but it still goes dead overnight if I don’t drive it daily. There are no lights left on. Could something be draining power in the background, like the stereo o r immobilizer?

If your battery is dying overnight, even after replacement, it points to a parasitic drain—something in your car is drawing power even when its off. Common causes include:

Aftermarket stereo systems o r alarms that stay on

Glovebox o r trunk lights not turning off

Faulty immobilizer o r ECU

Short circuit o r faulty relay in the electrical system

You should have a parasitic drain test done with an ammeter. A healthy car should draw less than 50 milliamps 0.05A when off. If the draw is more, a technician can isolate the problem by removing fuses one by one.

Tip: If your Swift is parked for long periods, consider disconnecting the battery terminal o r using a battery cut-off switch.
