Why does the check engine light come on in my Suzuki Swift even when the car drives fine?
I drive a 2021 Suzuki Swift in Lahore, and recently the check engine light started showing up, but the car feels normal while driving. Could this be due to a faulty oxygen sensor o r some emission-related sensor? Is it common in Pakistani fuel quality o r city traffic conditions?

This is a common issue and often related to minor sensor malfunctions o r emissions system alerts, especially in regions like Pakistan where fuel quality may vary.
Possible Causes:
Faulty Oxygen O2 Sensor – monitors emissions local low-octane fuel o r bad fuel mixtures can affect it.
Loose o r failing fuel cap – can trigger an emissions code.
Carbon build-up in the exhaust system – especially in city driving with lots of idling.
What to Do:
Get an OBD-II scan at a workshop to check the exact error code.
If its a minor emissions-related issue, you can try resetting the ECU and checking if it returns.
Replace the oxygen sensor if it shows a fault and is more than 3–4 years old.
Always use higher-quality fuel and clean injectors regularly in Pakistani conditions.
