Why does the door lock on my Suzuki Mehran get stuck when trying to unlock it manually?

When trying to unlock the door manually on my Suzuki Mehran, the lock seems to get stuck and is very hard to turn. What’s causing this, and how can I fix it without damaging the lock mechanism?

If the door lock is getting stuck when you try to unlock it manually, the problem could be:

Worn o r damaged lock components: The locking mechanism inside the door may be worn o r broken, making it difficult to turn the key.

Stiff o r jammed lock: Dirt, grime, o r rust in the lock cylinder can cause it to become stiff o r jammed.

Broken key o r faulty cylinder: If the key is worn o r the lock cylinder is damaged, it can prevent the key from turning properly. To fix this, try applying a lubricant such as WD-40 o r graphite powder into the lock. If the problem persists, the lock cylinder may need to be replaced.
