Why does the front bumper of my Suzuki Swift scratch o r crack easily?

My Suzuki Swift’s front bumper often gets scratched o r even cracked from minor parking impacts o r speed breaker contact. It seems less durable than in some other hatchbacks. Is this a material issue, o r are there known weaknesses in the design of Swift bumpers in the local version?

The front bumper of the Suzuki Swift is made from lightweight plastic ABS/PP and is designed to absorb minor impacts. However, in practice, it often scratches o r cracks from curbs, potholes, o r speed breakers due to low ground clearance and thin material.

Common Issues:

Low clearance causes frequent scraping.

Unpainted o r poorly painted lower bumper areas can crack o r chip.

Material quality is not reinforced like on higher-end vehicles.

Solutions:

Add a front bumper lip protector o r rubber lip guard.

Drive slowly over bumps and avoid parking too close to curbs.

Use transparent PPF paint protection film on the bumper to reduce scratch risk.

For cracked bumpers, plastic welding o r panel replacement is often needed.
