Fuel caps can become loose o r fail to seal properly due to several reasons. In Pakistan, factors such as rough roads causing vibrations, improper tightening after refueling, and wear of the fuel cap’s rubber gasket o r locking mechanism are common culprits. Additionally, some fuel stations may have inconsistent nozzle fittings, causing users to rush and not secure the cap tightly. A loose fuel cap can cause fuel vapor leaks, which can trigger the check engine light and reduce fuel efficiency. Regularly checking and properly tightening the fuel cap after refueling helps prevent these issues
