Why does the paint on my Suzuki Swift chip so easily from small stones o r debris?

Even minor contact with gravel o r road debris seems to chip the paint on my Suzuki Swift, especially on the front bumper and side skirts. Is the paint too thin o r soft, o r is this just normal wear and tear? Are there protective solutions to reduce future chipping?

Suzuki Swifts, especially base variants in Pakistan, may have relatively thin o r less durable paint layers. Chipping from road debris is worsened by poor surface preparation and low-quality paint application.

Common Causes:

Thin paint and clear coat layers from factory.

Driving on gravel roads o r near construction sites.

No paint protection film PPF o r mudguards installed.

Improper washing techniques e.g., pressure washer used too close.

Fixes/Prevention:

Apply paint protection film PPF o r ceramic coating to high-impact areas.

Use touch-up paint to cover small chips quickly before rust forms.

Install mud flaps to reduce stone splash.

Avoid tailgating and keep distance on rough roads.
