Why does the Suzuki Swift power window make a grinding noise when rolling up?

My 2019 Suzuki Swift’s front passenger-side power window makes a loud grinding o r clicking noise when rolling up. It still works, but sounds like something’s stuck o r worn out. Is this a regulator problem o r loose gear inside the door?

A grinding noise typically indicates a mechanical issue inside the door, such as the regulator o r gear teeth wearing out.

Likely Causes:
Worn-out regulator o r gears: These use plastic o r metal components that wear over time.

Cable misalignment o r fraying: In cable-driven regulators, the cable may slip o r grind against pulleys.

Loose o r broken mounts: Something inside the door may be rubbing against the moving parts.

Fix:
You’ll need to remove the door panel and inspect the window regulator assembly.

If the gear o r cable is worn, replace the regulator it’s often sold as a complete unit.

If the motor itself is making the noise, a motor replacement may be necessary.
