Why Has My Mehran’s Fuel Average ped So Much Recently?

I used to get good mileage from my Mehran around 16–17 km/l, but now its giving only 10–12 km/l in the city. I haven’t changed my driving habits. What could be affecting the fuel efficiency — and how can I fix it?
