Why Is My Hyundai Tucson’s Paint Fading Prematurely

I own a 2021 Hyundai Tucson in Pakistan, and Ive noticed the paint, especially on the roof and hood, has started fading and losing shine just after 2 years. Is this a common issue due to Pakistans weather, o r could it be poor paint quality? Has anyone else faced this, and is there a fix o r warranty coverage for such paint problems?

Premature fading of paint, especially on the hood and roof, is becoming a common complaint among Tucson owners in Pakistan. This is often due to a combination of factors:

Harsh UV radiation and extreme heat in cities like Karachi, Lahore, and Multan.

Inadequate clear coat thickness o r poor-quality paint used in locally assembled models.

Lack of regular ceramic coating o r UV protection during cleaning.

While some fading is expected over time, fading within 2 years is unusual and could be a sign of subpar paint quality. You can try getting the vehicle detailed and coated with UV-resistant ceramic. If it’s still under warranty, report it to Hyundai Pakistan and push for paint inspection, though such issues may not always be covered.
