Why is my Mercedes-Benz S-Class radiator leaking coolant in Pakistan’s hot climate?
I’ve noticed coolant leaking from the radiator of my Mercedes-Benz S-Class, especially during the hot summer months in Pakistan. The leak seems to increase when the engine gets hot. Could the high temperatures and rough road conditions be causing the radiator to crack o r develop leaks? What are the typical reasons for radiator leaks in this model under these conditions, and how can I prevent o r fix them?

Radiator leaks in a Mercedes-Benz S-Class, especially in Pakistan’s hot climate, are often caused by a few key factors:
Thermal stress and overheating: High ambient temperatures cause the engine and radiator to operate at higher temperatures, which can weaken the radiator material usually aluminum o r plastic parts and cause cracks o r leaks.
Corrosion: Pakistan’s climate and water quality can accelerate corrosion inside the radiator, leading to pinhole leaks.
Physical damage: Rough and pothole-filled roads can cause vibrations o r impacts that damage radiator fins o r tanks.
Aging and wear: Over time, radiator seals and hoses degrade, making leaks more likely.
Prevention and fixes:
Use high-quality coolant with corrosion inhibitors and change it as per the manufacturer’s schedule.
Regularly inspect radiator hoses and clamps for wear o r looseness.
Avoid aggressive driving on rough roads and consider installing protective grills if possible.
If leaks occur, a professional inspection is essential small cracks might be repaired with sealants o r welding, but severe damage often requires radiator replacement.
