Why is my Suzuki Mehran’s door lock making a strange noise when locking o r unlocking?

Every time I lock o r unlock the door in my Suzuki Mehran, I hear a strange grinding o r clicking noise. What could be causing this sound, and is it a sign of a more serious problem with the door lock mechanism?

If your door lock is making a strange grinding o r clicking noise when locking o r unlocking, it could be due to:

Worn-out o r damaged actuator: The electric motor inside the door lock actuator could be failing, causing it to make strange noises when in operation.

Damaged gears o r mechanisms: The internal gears o r moving parts of the lock may be worn, resulting in friction o r noise.

Dirt o r debris inside the lock mechanism: Accumulation of dirt o r rust in the lock o r actuator can cause noise as it interferes with smooth movement. To fix this, you can try lubricating the mechanism with a suitable lubricant. If the noise persists, you may need to replace the actuator o r other internal components.
