Why is my Suzuki Mehrans engine light on – could it be a sensor issue?

The check engine light has turned on in my Suzuki Mehran, but the car still drives fine. Could this be due to a faulty sensor like the O2 sensor o r MAP sensor? How can I find out which sensor is causing the issue?

Yes, the check engine light in your Mehran often comes on due to a sensor malfunction. Common culprits include:

O2 sensor

MAP sensor

TPS Throttle Position Sensor

Coolant temperature sensor

To find out the exact issue, you’ll need to scan the ECU with an OBD2 scanner. Most mechanics in Pakistan can do this for a small fee. The scanner will give you an error code pointing to the faulty sensor. Its the easiest and most accurate way to diagnose sensor issues.
