Why is my Suzuki Swift developing white spots o r oxidation on the paint?

There are small white, chalky spots appearing on the surface of my Suzuki Swifts paint, mainly on the hood and trunk. The car is a few years old and hasn’t been waxed regularly. Is this paint oxidation? How can I remove these spots and restore the paint’s shine?

White spots o r a chalky appearance are signs of oxidation, where the paint begins to degrade due to exposure to oxygen and sunlight, often accelerated by pollution and heat.

Common Causes:

Neglected paint maintenance no waxing o r polishing.

Constant exposure to acid rain, dust, and harsh weather.

Old o r damaged clear coat, allowing the paint underneath to oxidize.

Fixes:

Use a cutting polish o r rubbing compound to remove oxidized layers.

Follow up with a high-quality wax o r sealant.

In advanced cases, a repaint o r clear coat reapplication may be required.
