Why is my Suzuki Swift overheating even after changing the thermostat?

I drive a 2012 Suzuki Swift in Karachi. The car keeps overheating during traffic o r long drives, even though I’ve already replaced the thermostat. Could a faulty water pump be the reason? What are the signs that the water pump isnt circulating coolant properly?

If your Suzuki Swift is still overheating after thermostat replacement, the water pump may be the real issue. The water pump is responsible for circulating coolant through the engine and radiator. If it’s failing, coolant may not flow properly, causing the engine to overheat.

Signs of a faulty water pump:

Engine temperature rises during long drives o r idling

Heater blows cold air even when the engine is hot

No visible coolant flow when radiator cap is removed only check when engine is cold

Overheating is common in hot Pakistani cities like Karachi o r Multan, especially when coolant maintenance is neglected. Have a mechanic do a coolant flow test and inspect for loose o r worn water pump pulleys o r impeller damage.
