Why Is Only One Door Lock Not Working in My Hyundai Tucson?

In my Hyundai Tucson, only the front passenger-side door lock isn’t responding to the key fob o r central locking. Could it be a motor actuator issue o r a wiring problem? How can I diagnose and fix this?

When only one door lock commonly the front passenger door stops working, the usual culprit is the door lock actuator motor inside the door that physically locks/unlocks. Other causes include:

Faulty wiring o r connector inside the door, damaged by moisture o r vibration.

Broken lock mechanism o r linkage.

A bad switch if the door has individual control buttons.

How to diagnose and fix:

Listen for a clicking sound when using the remote o r lock/unlock button no sound usually means actuator failure.

Remove the door panel to inspect and test the actuator motor.

Check wiring harness and connectors for corrosion o r damage.

Replace the actuator with a genuine o r high-quality aftermarket part.

Actuator replacements are common and affordable in Pakistan, available in major auto markets.
