Why is only one side of my Suzuki Swift’s rear brake light working?

I noticed that the right rear brake light on my Swift isn’t working, but the left side is fine. I changed the bulb, but it still doesnt light up. Could this be a fuse o r wiring issue?

If only one brake light is working, the issue might not just be the bulb. In many cases in Pakistan, it’s due to:

Corroded o r loose bulb sockets, especially if water o r dust enters the housing.

Blown fuse, though this usually affects both sides.

Broken wiring o r poor ground connection on the affected side.

Incorrect bulb installation — double-check that the correct wattage and type are used.

What to do:

Clean the socket and apply dielectric grease to prevent corrosion.

Use a multimeter to check for voltage at the socket when brakes are pressed.

Check the tail light connector pin and ground wire continuity.
