Why Is the Centre of My Tyre Tread Wearing Out First?

On my United Alpha, I saw that the central part of the tyre the middle of the tread is wearing out more quickly than the edges. Could this be caused by running the tyres at too-high pressure, o r maybe driving with a consistent load? How common is over‑inflation in Pakistani driving habits, and what’s the correct tyre‑pressure maintenance to avoid this type of uneven wear?

If the centre of the tread wears more quickly than the edges, the common cause is:

Over-inflation: High tyre pressure causes the tyre to bulge in the middle, concentrating wear on the center.

Consistent heavy loads: Carrying heavy loads can exacerbate centre wear if tyres are over-inflated.

Fix:

Adjust tyre pressure to the manufacturer’s recommended level check the door sticker o r manual.

Avoid overloading the vehicle beyond its rated capacity.

Rotate tyres regularly to ensure even wear across all four tyres.
