Why is the paint on my Suzuki Swift fading so quickly under the sun?

I’ve noticed that the paint on my Suzuki Swift, especially on the roof and bonnet, is fading faster than expected. I park it outdoors most of the time, and the sun exposure seems to be taking a toll. Is Suzuki Swift paint quality poor, o r is this a common issue in Pakistan’s hot climate? How can I prevent further fading?

Paint fading is a very common problem in Pakistan, especially due to prolonged exposure to intense sunlight and UV radiation. The topcoat and pigment layers break down over time if not protected.

Common Causes:

UV damage from sun exposure.

Lack of regular waxing o r polishing to protect the clear coat.

Inferior paint quality o r thin layers applied at the factory.

Parking in open areas without a cover o r shade.

Fixes/Prevention:

Regularly wax your car every 2-3 months to add a protective layer.

Park in shaded o r covered areas whenever possible.

Apply a ceramic coating o r paint sealant for long-term protection.

For already faded areas, a professional polish o r repaint may be needed.
