Why is there a delay in response when I turn the steering wheel in my Mehran?

When I turn the steering wheel, there’s a slight delay before the car actually changes direction. It feels like the steering has “free play.” Is this a common issue in older Mehrans? Could it be due to steering column wear o r loosened linkage?

A delay in steering response also known as steering play can be caused by loose steering components, worn steering column joints, o r a loose steering rack. This problem is more common in older Mehrans, especially if maintenance is delayed. Check for worn steering column parts, loose connections, o r ball joints. It’s important to have this issue fixed, as it can compromise your ability to steer the car effectively.
