Why wont the central locking system work on my Suzuki Swift when using the key fob?

I have a 2021 Suzuki Swift in Lahore, and the central locking doesn’t always respond when I press the key fob. Sometimes it works after multiple tries, and sometimes not at all. Is this due to a weak battery in the remote, o r is there a deeper issue with the central locking system in these models?

This is a common issue and can be caused by either the remote key fob o r the central locking receiver/system inside the car.

Possible Causes:
Weak o r dead battery in the key fob – this is the most common and easily fixable.

Signal interference o r receiver malfunction – urban areas like Lahore with lots of electronic devices can interfere with signal reception.

Central locking relay o r fuse issue – if the internal system is not receiving o r processing the command.

Solutions:
Replace the key fob battery first – this often solves the problem.

Try using the spare key fob, if available, to see if the issue persists.

Have an auto electrician scan the car’s system for any errors in the Body Control Module BCM.

Check the central locking fuse and relay inside the fuse box.
