A faulty oxygen sensor can be identified by poor fuel economy, sluggish acceleration, rough idling, and an illuminated check engine light. To fix it:

Locate the sensor – It’s usually found on the exhaust manifold upstream o r after the catalytic converter downstream.

Disconnect the old sensor – You’ll need an oxygen sensor socket o r wrench.

Install a new OEM-compatible sensor – Always ensure its suitable for your model year.

Clear the error code using an OBD-II scanner.
