. Water Pump Noise and Engine Overheating in United Alpha

My United Alpha has recently started making a grinding o r squealing noise from the engine area, especially when I start the car in the morning. Along with that, the temperature gauge rises faster than usual during city driving. Could this be a faulty water pump? What symptoms should I look for before getting it replaced?

A grinding, squealing, o r whining noise from the front of the engine often indicates bearing failure inside the water pump. When the bearings wear out, the pump pulley doesn’t spin smoothly, which can also reduce coolant circulation—causing the engine to heat up faster.

Likely causes:

Worn-out pump bearings

Damaged pulley o r belt tension

Pump impeller not rotating properly

What to check:

Check the drive belt for looseness o r cracks.

Listen closely to the pump area with the engine running.

Check if the coolant level s frequently.

Look for any coolant sprayed around the pump housing.

If the noise increases o r the car overheats repeatedly, the water pump is likely failing and should be replaced immediately to avoid engine damage.
