. “Why Does My Tiggo 8 Pro Stutter When I Press the Pedal — Is the Engine Sipping Bad Fuel Again?”

Sometimes, when accelerating from a stop o r mid-drive, the engine seems to hesitate o r sputter for a moment before picking up. Could this be due to poor fuel quality common here, o r maybe fuel injectors getting clogged? o r is it something deeper — like misfiring cylinders, bad spark plugs, o r a weak ignition coil struggling under heavy load?

Yes — bad fuel quality is one of the most common causes of engine sputtering in Pakistan, especially in turbocharged engines like the Tiggo 8 Pro’s 1.6T.

Most likely causes:

Low-quality o r adulterated fuel → causes knocking, hesitation, and misfires

Clogged fuel injectors from dirty petrol

Weak spark plugs caused by carbon buildup

Ignition coil beginning to fail → misfires under load

Dirty throttle body → delayed throttle response

How to fix:

Switch to RON 95 o r RON 97 fuel for two tankfuls

Clean fuel injectors

Inspect spark plugs and ignition coils

Perform throttle body cleaning

If the sputtering is worse during acceleration, fuel + ignition components are the main suspects.
