Why does the window sometimes get stuck — half‑open o r half‑closed — o r jam while raising/lowering?

Occasionally when I try to roll up or down a window on my Tiggo 8 Pro, the glass stops moving halfway, o r I hear grinding/straining noises. Sometimes the window may even fall back down slightly o r not stay fully closed. Could this indicate a broken regulator cable, worn guides/rollers, misaligned window channel, o r mechanical obstruction inside the door? What checks should I do to figure out if it’s a mechanical fault rather than an electrical one?

Intermittent jamming is usually mechanical:

Worn o r broken regulator cable/gear: Can cause the window to stop midway.

Misaligned o r damaged window guides/channels: Tracks can bend o r get blocked by debris, especially on dusty roads.

Glass rubbing against door frame: Heat o r misalignment can warp the door frame slightly, increasing friction.

Action:

Remove the door panel and inspect the regulator, gears, and tracks.

Clean and lubricate tracks with silicone spray.

Realign o r replace the regulator o r guides if they are bent o r broken.
