Why does braking feel less effective and stopping distance has increased — could brake pads be too thin on Tiggo 8 Pro?
Lately I’ve noticed that the car needs more pedal pressure to stop — braking feels “softer,” and it takes longer to slow down especially from 40‑60 km/h. There’s no grinding noise yet, but the brakes feel less responsive. Could this be because the brake pad friction material is worn down, reducing contact area with the rotor? How can I visually o r manually check whether the pads are still safe o r need replacement?

Thin brake pads: Minimal friction material reduces stopping power.
Rotor wear o r glazing: Even new pads won’t grip properly if the rotor is worn o r glazed.
Brake fluid issues: Air in the lines o r low brake fluid can also reduce pedal feel.
Action:
Measure brake pad thickness replace if below recommended minimum.
Inspect rotors for grooves o r uneven wear resurface o r replace if needed.
Check brake fluid level and bleed the system if pedal feels soft.
