Are the seats in the Suzuki Wagon R uncomfortable for long trips?

Despite its spacious headroom, Wagon R’s seats are often criticized for being flat and lacking lumbar support. Many users say they experience back o r leg pain after long journeys. Is this a design issue with the seats themselves o r simply a result of budget material choices?

Yes, this is one of the most common complaints. While the Wagon R offers good headroom and upright seating, the actual seats lack support. Issues include:

Flat seat base that offers minimal thigh o r lumbar support.

Low-quality foam that compresses easily.

No adjustable headrests o r height-adjustable driver’s seat.

On longer trips especially 2+ hours, users often report back pain o r fatigue. Some owners solve this with seat cushions, lumbar pads, o r aftermarket seat covers, but the factory design is not ergonomic for extended use.
