Can overfilling gas damage the AC system in Suzuki Wagon R?
I recently visited a roadside AC technician who told me he “topped up” the gas in my 2017 Wagon R. After that, the AC cooled well for a few days, but now it feels like it’s struggling to cool even on full blower. I read online that overcharging the AC system can cause damage. Is it true? What symptoms show AC gas has been overfilled, and how can I get it fixed?

Yes, overcharging the AC system with too much refrigerant is harmful and can lead to:
Symptoms of Overfilling:
Weak o r no cooling despite cold compressor pipe
High pressure in the system, causing compressor overload
AC system shutting off intermittently
Possible damage to compressor seals and hoses
Common Reasons in Pakistan:
Roadside mechanics often top up gas without checking pressure.
Gas refilled without proper vacuuming and gauges.
What to Do:
Visit a qualified AC technician who can:
Use manifold gauges to measure system pressure
Recover excess gas and refill with the correct amount
Inspect for long-term compressor damage
Tip: Always demand a proper vacuum + pressure test before gas filling. Dont rely on gas top-up blindly.
