Can poor fuel quality in Pakistan affect the Suzuki Swift’s fuel economy?

Ive heard that bad fuel quality o r low-octane petrol can reduce a car’s performance and fuel efficiency. Since many Pakistani petrol pumps are reported to sell substandard fuel, could this be a reason why many Swift owners face lower-than-expected mileage?

Absolutely. Fuel quality in Pakistan can vary greatly between cities and even between fuel stations. Many Swift owners have reported:

Lower mileage and engine knocking after filling up from low-quality o r unbranded pumps.

Contaminated fuel o r low-octane petrol can reduce combustion efficiency.

Over time, it can clog injectors and damage sensors like the oxygen sensor, further affecting performance and fuel economy.

It’s highly recommended to use reputable fuel stations like PSO, Shell, Total and occasionally add a fuel system cleaner to maintain engine efficiency.
