Can poor road conditions in Pakistan affect tire pressure and cause uneven wear in the Elantra?

I often drive on broken o r uneven roads in Karachi, and I’ve noticed the tire wear is uneven. Could potholes o r road bumps be affecting the pressure o r alignment, and how can I prevent this kind of damage?

Yes, bad road conditions in cities like Karachi o r rural areas in Punjab and Sindh can significantly impact tire pressure and tire wear:

Hitting potholes o r speed breakers at speed can cause temporary air loss o r damage tire sidewalls.

Frequent rough roads lead to misalignment, which causes uneven tire wear especially on the inner o r outer edges.

Sudden jolts may even damage the wheel rim, leading to slow pressure loss over time.

To prevent this:

Get wheel alignment and balancing checked every 8,000–10,000 km.

Use slightly higher pressure on long trips over poor roads to protect the sidewalls.

Drive carefully over bad patches and avoid overloading the car.
