Do Mercedes-Benz models in Pakistan commonly face rust o r corrosion on exterior body parts?

I’ve noticed some rust forming near the wheel arches and undercarriage of my Mercedes, especially after the rainy season. Is rusting a common issue for Mercedes vehicles in Pakistan due to humidity o r road conditions? How can I prevent long-term corrosion damage?

Yes, rust o r corrosion can be an issue for Mercedes-Benz vehicles in Pakistan, especially in coastal cities like Karachi o r during the monsoon season. The combination of high humidity, poor drainage, and untreated road surfaces can lead to moisture accumulation, particularly around wheel arches, underbody panels, and door sills. While Mercedes vehicles are built with anti-corrosion coatings, older models o r those with paint damage are more vulnerable. Regular washing, especially after rain o r muddy drives, and periodic underbody inspections can help prevent long-term rust damage. Applying anti-rust treatments and parking in covered areas is also highly recommended.
