Signs of low transmission fluid in the Wagon R include:

Delayed o r hard gear shifts

Slipping gears – Engine revs without acceleration

Unusual noises – Whining, grinding, o r humming

Burning smell – From overheating fluid

Warning lights – Some models may show a transmission warning

Checking the fluid level:

Most Wagon R variants don’t have a dipstick. Instead:

A mechanic checks it via the filler bolt on the transmission casing.

The car must be level and warmed up before checking.

Fluid should reach the lip of the filler hole.

Caution: Driving with low fluid can permanently damage the transmission. Always top up with the recommended gear oil o r ATF type, as per the user manual.
