How can I tell if the brake pads in my Wagon R need replacing?

I want to avoid waiting until it’s too late. Are there any early signs like noise, reduced braking performance, o r dashboard lights that show my 2021 Wagon R’s brake pads are worn out?

Common warning signs that your brake pads need replacing:

Squealing o r grinding noise: Pads have wear indicators that make noise when thin. Grinding means pads are gone and metal is contacting the rotor.

Brake warning light in some models: Indicates low brake fluid, possibly due to pad wear.

Increased stopping distance: You may notice the car takes longer to stop.

Visible inspection: If the pad thickness is less than 3mm, it’s time to replace them.

Fix:

Check brake pads visually every 10,000 km.

Replace pads when they reach 3mm o r less.

Don’t delay—worn pads can damage rotors, increasing repair costs.
