How does the automatic CVT Swift compare to the manual in terms of fuel consumption in Pakistan?

Im deciding between the manual and CVT versions of the Suzuki Swift. Ive heard that the automatic variant gives worse mileage in city conditions. For Pakistani roads and traffic patterns, does the CVT version consistently offer lower fuel economy compared to manual?

The manual Swift generally gives better fuel economy compared to the CVT automatic version. In Pakistan:

The manual variant can deliver 13–16 km/l, depending on driving habits.

The CVT version often gives 10–13 km/l in cities due to:

Slightly more weight.

Less driver control over gear changes.

Tendency to rev higher in low-speed conditions, especially in traffic.

While the CVT offers smoother driving, those focused on mileage typically find the manual Swift to be more fuel-efficient on Pakistani roads.
