Is low cooling from Wagon R AC due to a dirty cabin filter o r blocked airflow?

My Wagon R AC used to be very effective, but recently the airflow feels weak, and the cooling has ped. I haven’t changed the cabin/AC filter in a long time. Can a dirty cabin air filter o r clogged evaporator cause weak cooling and airflow? How often should it be cleaned o r replaced in Pakistans dusty environment?

Yes, a clogged cabin AC filter is one of the most overlooked causes of poor airflow and weak cooling.

Common Signs:

Low air pressure from vents

Dusty smell from AC

Fan making more noise than usual but little air

Causes in Pakistan:

Dusty roads, pollution, and lack of regular cleaning

Use of AC without changing cabin filter for more than 20,000 km

What to Do:

Locate the cabin filter usually behind glove box and clean o r replace it.

Clean the AC vents and ducts.

In extreme cases, the evaporator coil may need washing done by AC specialist.

Tip: Clean the cabin filter every 10,000–15,000 km in Pakistan for optimal cooling and air quality.
