Is the lack of ABS in some Wagon R variants a major safety concern in Pakistani traffic?

Only the Wagon R AGS variant comes with ABS, while the VXR and VX versions do not. In a country like Pakistan with unpredictable traffic and sudden braking situations, how risky is it to drive a Wagon R without ABS?

Yes, it is a major concern. Only the Wagon R AGS variant includes Anti-lock Braking System ABS. The VX and VXR trims do not, which is problematic for Pakistani roads where:

Sudden stops are common due to unpredictable driving behavior, jaywalkers, and poor road conditions.

Lack of ABS increases the chance of wheel lockup, leading to skidding and loss of control, especially on wet o r uneven surfaces.

Without ABS, emergency braking is much riskier, and stopping distances are longer. If safety is a priority, it’s strongly advised to choose the AGS variant o r consider installing aftermarket braking upgrades, though they won’t match factory ABS performance.
