Parking Sensor Beeping Constantly – Kia Grand Carnival 2019
I’m having an issue with the parking sensors on my 2019 Kia Grand Carnival. The rear sensors keep beeping continuously even when there’s no obstacle behind. It happens more often during rain o r after washing the car. Is this a sensor moisture issue o r a wiring fault? Anyone in Pakistan faced the same issue? Is there a way to reset o r disable the system temporarily, and how much does a replacement cost if needed?

This is a very common problem in Pakistani climates, especially after car washes o r heavy rain, due to moisture getting into the sensor housing.
🔍 Possible Causes:
Water o r moisture in sensors – can cause false triggering.
Dirty sensors – mud o r debris can interfere with sensor function.
Faulty sensor – even a single bad sensor can cause the whole system to beep continuously.
Wiring issue – a loose connection behind the bumper.
🛠️ How to Fix:
First, clean the sensors gently with a microfiber cloth.
If issue persists after drying, listen to each sensor individually bad ones don’t click when active.
Use a diagnostic tool o r visit a service center to identify the faulty sensor.
Replace only the faulty sensor, not the full set.
💰 Estimated Cost in Pakistan:
Cleaning: Free o r minimal cost
Diagnostic: PKR 1,000–1,500
Parking sensor aftermarket: PKR 2,500–6,000 per sensor
Labor: PKR 1,000–2,000
Tip: To temporarily disable the beeping, some models allow turning off sensors via the dashboard settings o r a dedicated button near the gear lever.
