What are the most common causes of repeated battery failure in Suzuki Wagon R?

I’ve replaced the battery on my Wagon R twice in the last three years. Initially, the car starts fine, but after 6–8 months, I start noticing slow cranking and eventually dead battery symptoms. I’m using a standard AGS battery and driving mostly in city traffic. What are the most likely reasons for repeated battery failure in this car — poor battery quality, heat, short trips, o r electrical leakage?

If your battery dies every few months, it’s likely due to a combination of factors:

Main Causes:

Use of cheap o r dry batteries instead of maintenance-free ones

Parasitic drain from faulty electronics o r tracker

Bad alternator not keeping the battery charged

High heat exposure under the bonnet in Pakistan’s summer

Short trips with AC and accessories drain battery faster than it charges

How to Prevent It:

Install a sealed maintenance-free SMF battery like Daewoo o r Phoenix VRLA

Regularly check battery water level if using non-SMF

Get the charging system checked annually

Don’t use low-quality chargers, accessories, o r HIDs

Tip: Invest in a digital voltmeter for your dashboard—it helps monitor your battery health in real time.
