What are the symptoms of a bad purge control valve in Suzuki Wagon R?

I’ve been hearing strange noises and experiencing rough idling in my 2016 Suzuki Wagon R. Could these be signs of a faulty purge control valve? What are the usual symptoms I should look for to identify purge valve issues?

Common symptoms of a faulty purge control valve in your Wagon R include:

Rough idling o r engine hesitation especially when starting o r accelerating.

Check engine light appearing on the dashboard.

Increased fuel consumption due to incorrect vapor purge timing.

Engine stalling o r hard starting in some cases.

Unusual hissing o r clicking noises from the engine bay where the valve is located.

If you experience these symptoms, especially along with poor fuel economy, the purge valve is worth checking.
