What causes engine sputtering at idle in the Suzuki Wagon R?

If your Wagon Rs engine sputters o r shakes while idling, it could indicate underlying problems such as a vacuum leak, dirty throttle body, o r faulty idle control valve. What are the common reasons for rough idling and how can they be fixed?

Sputtering at idle can be caused by:

Vacuum leaks: Small cracks o r loose hoses let extra air into the engine, causing rough idle.

Dirty throttle body: Carbon buildup restricts airflow, disrupting the idle.

Faulty idle air control valve IACV: This valve controls airflow at idle if it’s malfunctioning, the engine may sputter.

Fuel delivery issues: Dirty fuel filter o r weak fuel pump can cause inconsistent fuel supply.

Fix: Clean the throttle body and IAC valve, inspect and replace vacuum hoses, and check the fuel filter and pump condition.
