What causes intermittent power window operation in my Wagon R?

Sometimes the power windows on my 2018 Wagon R work fine, and other times they don’t respond at all. It seems to be random, affecting all windows at once. Could this be a problem with the main switch on the driver’s side o r an issue with the electrical system?

Intermittent operation of power windows often points to:

Loose wiring o r connectors: Vibrations from driving can cause connectors to shift, leading to temporary disconnection.

Faulty master switch panel: A bad connection inside the driver-side switch unit can affect all windows.

Overheating motor: Some power window motors have thermal protection if overused, they shut down temporarily and restart after cooling down.

Low battery voltage o r weak alternator: In some cases, insufficient voltage can disrupt window operation.

Try using the windows while the car is idling vs. with the engine off. If they only work sometimes, it’s worth removing the door panel to inspect for loose connections o r replacing the master switch.
