What Causes Rust Under the Paint on Wagon R in Humid Areas of Pakistan?

I live in Karachi, and I’ve started to see bubbles forming under the paint near the wheel arches of my Wagon R, which I suspect is rust. Is this common due to coastal weather, o r is it a fault in Suzukis paint protection?

In coastal areas like Karachi o r humid regions like Sialkot, moisture and salty air can lead to corrosion. Suzuki Wagon Rs body panels are not heavily rust-proofed, and if there are stone chips o r scratches, water can seep through and cause rust under the paint.

Prevention tips:

Inspect and touch up any paint chips promptly.

Use rust-proof coating o r undercoating, especially for wheel arches and underbody.

Regularly wash your car, especially the undercarriage, to remove salt and grime.

Repairing rust bubbles may involve sanding, priming, and repainting, which could cost Rs. 2,000–8,000 depending on the severity.
