Why do my Suzuki Wagon R’s brake pads wear out quickly?

I have to replace the front brake pads on my 2020 Wagon R every 15,000–20,000 km, which seems too frequent. I drive mostly in the city. Could this be due to low-quality pads, aggressive braking, o r a caliper issue?

Fast brake pad wear can be caused by a combination of driving habits and mechanical issues:

City driving: Frequent stopping and starting in traffic increases wear compared to highway driving.

Low-quality brake pads: Some aftermarket pads wear out much faster than OEM Genuine parts.

Aggressive driving o r braking: Sudden braking o r riding the brakes contributes to fast wear.

Sticking caliper o r slide pins: If the brake caliper doesnt release fully, the pad constantly drags against the disc, causing premature wear.

Fix:

Use genuine Suzuki brake pads o r reputable brands like Bosch, Advics, o r TRW.

Have a mechanic check the calipers and slide pins to ensure theyre not sticking.

Consider changing driving habits coasting before braking, avoiding sudden stops.
