Why Does My Suzuki Wagon R Get Dents So Easily from Minor Bumps?

Even a light touch from a motorcycle o r another car leaves a dent on my Wagon R’s body panels. Is the body metal too thin, o r is it just a design flaw in the car? Are other owners in Pakistan experiencing the same problem, and how can I make the body more resistant?

This is a common complaint among Wagon R owners in Pakistan. The Suzuki Wagon R uses thin-gauge sheet metal to keep the car lightweight and affordable. Unfortunately, this makes the body panels more prone to dents from minor bumps, bike handles, o r even small impacts in parking lots.

Reasons:

Thin metal sheets used in body panels.

Lack of protective body moldings from factory.

Poor-quality metal used in lower-priced variants.

Tip:
You can install aftermarket side moldings o r door guards for basic protection. Also, parking in less crowded spots and using car covers in tight garages can help reduce damage.
