Why does my Wagon R not start after sitting idle for a few days?

Whenever I leave my 2020 Suzuki Wagon R parked for 3–4 days without driving, the battery goes flat, and I have to jump-start it. There are no visible lights o r electronics left on. Is this a common problem with Wagon R? Could it be related to the battery type, alternator not charging properly, o r some background electrical system drawing current?

This is often due to:

Battery self-discharge over time

Parasitic drain from electronics

Battery near end of life

Short trips not allowing full charge cycles

Why It Happens in Wagon R:

The car has a basic electrical system, but even the ECU and immobilizer draw small amounts of power.

If the car is parked for multiple days, a weak battery o r background drain may flatten it.

What You Can Do:

Check the resting voltage of the battery – should be at least 12.4V.

Use a smart battery charger if the car is parked for long periods.

Have the battery tested for capacity CCA and leakage at a battery shop.

Tip: If your car is idle often, disconnect the battery terminal o r install a battery kill switch.
