Why Does My Wagon R Windshield Fog Up from Inside and Create Streaks While Driving?

During early mornings o r rainy days, the inside of my Wagon Rs windshield fogs up and leaves streaks when I try to wipe it. Why does this happen, and what’s the proper way to clear fog without making the glass dirty?

Interior fogging occurs due to humidity inside the car and cooler air outside the glass.

Why it gets streaky:
When you wipe fog with a dirty cloth o r your hand, you leave behind oil and dirt, which causes more streaking.

Fixes:

Use the defogger setting o r direct AC toward the windshield.

Keep a dedicated microfiber cloth in the car for wiping.

Use anti-fog sprays o r a homemade solution 50% vinegar + water.

Tip: Keep the windshield clean from the inside as well. Interior dust attracts moisture and fogs up faster.
