Why does the Suzuki Swifts fuel average drastically with full passenger load? Detail:

When driving alone, my Swift gives a reasonable fuel average, but once it’s fully loaded with 4-5 people and luggage, the fuel economy s significantly. Is this a flaw in the engine performance o r just normal behavior for compact hatchbacks like the Swift in Pakistan?

The Suzuki Swift is a subcompact hatchback, and its engine is tuned for balance between power and efficiency. When fully loaded with 4-5 passengers and luggage, you’ll notice:

A in acceleration and performance, especially with AC on.

The engine has to work harder, especially during city climbs, overtakes, o r on flyovers.

Heavier loads mean increased fuel consumption—it’s normal for mileage to by 1.5–2.5 km/l when the car is fully loaded.

This is not a mechanical defect but a natural trade-off in small cars like the Swift.
