Cabin noise is a common complaint among Wagon R users, particularly at higher speeds o r on rough roads. Contributing factors include:

Poor sound insulation: Suzuki uses minimal sound-dampening material to keep the car lightweight and affordable.

Three-cylinder engine: The engine naturally produces more vibration and sound than a four-cylinder engine.

Thin body panels: The lightweight sheet metal vibrates more and transmits road noise easily.

Tire and road noise: Budget tires add to the issue, especially on rough surfaces.

Solution:
Installing aftermarket sound dampening mats on doors, floor, and firewall can significantly reduce cabin noise. Upgrading tires to quieter brands and ensuring wheel alignment also helps.
