Why does the Suzuki Wagon R feel underpowered during acceleration, especially with passengers o r AC on?

Many Wagon R drivers report sluggish acceleration, particularly when the air conditioner is running o r when the car is fully loaded with passengers. What causes this performance , and is it related to the engine power, transmission, o r overall design?

The Suzuki Wagon R is equipped with a 998cc 3-cylinder engine, which delivers around 67–68 hp. While this is sufficient for daily city driving, it feels underpowered when:

The AC is on, which puts extra load on the small engine.

The car is fully loaded with passengers o r luggage, adding significant weight.

The AGS version may hesitate during acceleration due to slower gear shifts.

Solution:

Drive with a lighter foot and use manual gear control in AGS on slopes.

Perform regular engine tuning to maintain peak efficiency.

Use high-quality fuel to slightly boost combustion efficiency.
