Owners living in o r traveling to hilly regions like Murree o r northern areas often complain that the Wagon R lacks the torque o r power to climb efficiently. Is this due to the engine limitations, gear ratios, o r a weight distribution issue?

The Wagon R struggles in hilly areas primarily due to:

Its low torque output about 90 Nm, which is not ideal for inclines.

Tall gear ratios, especially in AGS, reduce pulling power at low speeds.

The high body weight relative to engine output becomes more noticeable on slopes.

Solution:

Use first o r second gear manually on steep roads.

Avoid using the AGS on D-mode during climbs — switch to manual for better control.

Remove excess load when traveling in mountainous areas.
